Earlier this month, Sennheiser launched the Momentum Sport wireless earbuds in the US, but it seems that it also quietly dropped the product into the Malaysian market. Aside from just being audio gear, they also act as a workout accessory with built-in health sensors.
Firstly, the Momentum Sport features 10mm dynamic drivers in each bud with support for Bluetooth 5.2 for connections. For noisy environments, the earbuds support adaptive active noise cancellation and the company also says that there is a “sports mode” that offers more clarity and powerful bass, but it did not provide any details on this. As for protection, they are rated at IP55 for dust and water resistance as well as having shock resistance.
Interestingly, the earbuds are equipped with sensors to track your heart rate as well as body temperature, in collaboration with health tracker company Polar. When it comes to battery life, they can only last up to 5.5 hours on a single charge with a total usage time of 24 hours with the charging case, which also supports wireless charging.
The Momentum Sport earbuds are now available on the brand’s website as well as its Shopee store. It retails at RM1,699 and comes in three colour options.
