CelcomDigi has announced the new limited-time Hajj Roaming Pass for those travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform their Hajj pilgrimage or Umrah. Priced at RM128, it is a 45-day roaming package that provides users with unlimited roaming data and free 30-minute voice calls.
According to the telco‘s FAQ page, the Hajj Roaming Pass is offered to customers starting today until 30 June 2024. And as with most “unlimited” offerings, usage is subject to CelcomDigi’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP), where speeds will be throttled to 1Mbps after exceeding the daily 2GB data quota. The page added that high-speed internet will only be refreshed at 12am every day within the 45-day period.
Meanwhile, the 30-minute free calls covers receiving and making calls to Malaysia, as well as Saudi Arabia numbers. Standard international call rates apply if you call to other countries outside of the two mentioned, or if you’ve fully utilised the 30-minute quota.
The Hajj Roaming Pass is available via the Celcom Life or MyDigi app. Simply launch either app, tap Buy Adds-Ons, then roaming, and select the pass to activate.
