HONOR has officially launched the 5G variant of two of its existing products, the X7b and the Pad 9. The phone and tablet will be available for purchase starting 25 April, coming with similar specs to their non-5G counterparts with the exception of a much faster chipset for the former.
The X7b 5G sports a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 850 nits and a minimum brightness of 2 nits for dimming. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. Imaging-wise, it features a 108MP main sensor as well as a 2MP macro lens and a depth sensor. Powering the entry-level device is a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 35W charging.
Meanwhile, the Pad 9 5G gets a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The tablet is fitted with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor as its Wi-Fi only counterpart with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with an additional microSD card slot for expansion. For cameras, it is equipped with a 13MP lens on the back and an 8MP shooter up front. An 8,300mAh battery powers the device with support for 35W charging.
The X7b 5G retails at RM899 while the Pad 9 5G gets a price tag of RM1,799. Both devices can be purchased through HONOR’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok stores as well as authorised retailers.
