ASUS today has launched two new laptops under its VivoBook line-up for the Malaysian market. These being the VivoBook S 14 OLED and VivoBook S 16 OLED, which feature slim and lightweight profiles, in addition to featuring the latest 14th generation Intel Meteor Lake processors.
As implied by their names, the two are equipped with 14- and 16-inch OLED displays, where both offer a resolution of up to 3.2K (3200×2000 pixels), an aspect ratio of 16:10, 120Hz refresh rate, and support a maximum brightness of 600 nits. According to ASUS, both the VivoBook S 14 and VivoBook S 16 have a thickness of 1.39cm, with the former is said to weigh at 1.3kg and the latter at 1.5kg.
Under the hood, the two VivoBook laptops can feature either an Intel Core Ultra 7-155H or Intel Core Ultra 5-125H processors, which also comes with built-in AI-Ready Engine. This is followed by 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB 4.0 SSD storage, while the battery equipped on both models is said to be capable of lasting up to 16 hours on a single charge.
In terms of I/O, the VivoBook S 16 OLED comes with two Thunderbolt 4 plugs, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card reader. Meanwhile, the VivoBook S 14 model is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports (display and power delivery), two USB 3.2 Type-A, one USB 2.0, and one HDMI 2.1 TMDS.
The newly announced laptops will go on sale locally via ASUS Store Malaysia [1] [2] and authorised distributors nationwide from 29 April 2024 onwards. The VivoBook S 14 OLED is priced at RM4,399, while the VivoBook S 16 OLED will retail at RM4,699.
ASUS adds that each purchase will also come with two years global warranty and one year accidental damage protection. In terms of colour options, both models are available in either Mist Blue or Neutral Black.
