Huawei has officially unveiled its Pura 70 flagship series, the first to feature the new Pura moniker. The tech giant has announced a lineup of four models, with the two highest-end models already on sale in China while the other two will hit Chinese shelves next Monday. They run on HarmonyOS and are the first to include its self-developed Pangu LLM AI model.
The series is made up of the vanilla Pura 70 as well as the Pro, Pro Plus, and Ultra variants. All four smartphones are powered by the new Kirin 9010 chipset and each phone is equipped with a 50MP primary camera sensor, with the Ultra getting a bigger 1-inch sensor. Additionally, the latter three are capable of supporting 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging speeds.
The Pura 70 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Kunlun Glass for protection. It gets 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage and is powered by a 5,200mAh battery. For its cameras, it features a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom.
Moving on to the Pura 70 Pro and Pro Plus, these two phones seem to be the same with the only differentiating factor being the amount of RAM. They are fitted with the same display as the Ultra model, run on a 5,050mAh battery, and are paired with 12GB and 16GB of RAM respectively. Imaging-wise, they carry a 50MP main camera, a 12.5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom.
Last but not least, there is the base model Pura 70, which has a smaller 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Kunlun Glass. It comes with 12GB of RAM with up to 1TB of storage and is powered by a 4,900mAh battery that supports 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. On the camera side, it has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP telescope lens with 5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.
As for pricing, the Pura 70 Pro Plus starts from CNY7,999 (~RM5,278) while the Ultra retails at CNY9,999 (~RM6,598) for the base trim. The company has not yet announced plans for availability in other markets.
