HMD Global, the maker of phones carrying the Nokia brand, has previously announced that it will be developing its own phones, with a few hints of what they will be like. More recently, serial leakster @OnLeaks have shared renders of what is claimed to be the HMD Pulse, as well as a Pro variant. Oddly enough, these renders, as well as some specs, were shared to different outlets this time around.
Either way, the renders of the HMD Pulse show a pretty standard-looking phone, featuring a punch-hole cutout in front, as well as a camera island with two shooters and an LED flash at the back. These renders don’t show the top and bottom of the phone, but from the sides, the volume rocker and power button are located where you’d expect them.
As for its partial spec sheet, the HMD Pulse is claimed to have a 6.56-inch HD+ display, a 13MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It is also noted to come with an octa-core chipset, though it hasn’t been identified as to which specific one.
It’s mostly the same story with the HMD Pulse Pro on the way the device looks though it does have a slightly thicker chin in front. For its specs, it looks to have the same screen as the base model, but also noted is a 90Hz refresh rate. The the battery is also a 5,000mAh unit. Additional details include a Unisoc T606 chipset, with RAM and storage configurations starting from 6GB + 128GB. Cameras are noted to be 50MP + 2MP at the back, and 50MP in front. The device also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and an IP52 rating.
For now, there’s no word on when the HMD Pulse or its Pro variant will be unveiled officially. But in the mean time, the usual pinch of salt is recommended.
