RHB Banking Group has officially launched two new EVlution charging stations at the RHB Centre in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. The launch today was done in collaboration with Mastercard and EV charging provider EVlution Sdn Bhd, and was officiated by transport minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook.
The newly established charging stations at RHB Centre is in line with EVlution’s initiative to deploy a total of 2,000 stations nationwide by 2025, with the aim of providing convenient access to EV users across strategic locations nationwide. Apart from this particular location, the company has several other stations across Peninsular Malaysia, including at its showroom at Damansara Perdana, as well as SS2 in Petaling Jaya, Bandar Puteri in Puchong, Icon City Penang, and many others.
EVlution noted that it is currently the sole Charge Point Operator (CPO) in Malaysia providing a combined payment system that allows EV charging payments either through either its first-party mobile app or by using a physical card. The company added that its strategic partnerships with RHB and Mastercard allows it to introduce a payment platform that facilitates seamless transactions and advances sustainable mobility solutions. Additionally, all three parties today have revealed that they will announce special campaigns and offers for cardholders in the coming months.
Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that RHB offers financing up to RM500,000 and rates as low as 2.10% per annum (p.a.) and 2.20% p.a. for EVs and hybrid vehicles respectively. Collaborating with the bank for this initiative are car brands such as Volvo, Tesla, and many others. RHB added that it has provided financing for over 2,000 green vehicles as of December 2023, totalling At RM325 million.
