Gigabyte is launching two new products as part of its Xtreme Prestige Limited Edition series. The products include the Intel Z790 AORUS Xtreme X Ice motherboard and the AORUS GeForce RTX 4080 Super Xtreme Ice graphics card.
Starting with the motherboard, the Xtreme X Ice Z790 supports both 13th and 14th Gen Intel processors, dual-channel DDR5 at frequencies up to 8,266MT/s, and one slot dedicated to PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs. Other features include a digital twin 24+1+2 phases VRM solution, EZ-latch screwless design for easy access and installation of M.2 SSDs, of which there are a total of five slots on underneath the heatsink, and support for 10GbE+2.5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Oh, and it also comes with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports.
What sets it apart is of course, the icy-themed design and aesthetic of the Xtreme X Ice Z70 motherboard, especially with the crystallised Titanium Finish.
Moving on, the AORUS GeForce RTX 4080 Super Xtreme Ice is perhaps the brand’s fastest version of the GPU, with a core clock of up to 2,700MHz and support for up to 885 AI TOPS. For context, the reference core clock of the RTX 4080 Super is set at 2,550MHz. Like the motherboard, the card’s cooler shroud is also decked in the same icy titanium frost pattern, primarily on its spine, as well as a clean, white cubic look. That, and it also has an exclusive gold serial plaque installed into the corner of the shroud.
At the time of writing, Gigabyte did not provide local pricing or availability for the Xtreme Prestig Limited Edition motherboard and GPU. It did say that these items will be available in limited quantities, meaning that they won’t be cheap.
