We’ve previously noted the existence of an AI model agency, or more specifically an agency that makes use of AI models. The idea, while wild, might have taken off in unexpected ways, because there is now what is basically an AI beauty pageant. And it is called the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA).
According to the WAICA website, this AI beauty pageant is just about like any other beauty pageant. Contestants, presumably referring to AI-generated models, “will be judged on some of the classic aspects of apgeantry including their beauty, poise, and their unique answers to a series of questions”.
Where things diverge is the “skill and implementation of AI tools used to create” said AI models. This includes the use of “prompts and their output, and visual detailing around hands, eyes, and backgrounds”. Pertinent, considering the weaknesses of current generative AI. Though there’s also a Social Clout judging component, with assessment being based on engagement numbers with fans, audience rate of growth and utilisation of platforms.
Funnily enough, two of the four judges of the WAICA are AI-generated models themselves, with one being from the AI model agency we reported on, The Clueless. Also worth noting is that this AI beauty pageant is organised by Fanvue, a subscription-based platform comparable to the likes on OnlyFans. Prizes for winning include cash prizes, as well as access to what is called the Imagine Education courses and PR Support.
