Xiaomi has announced a brand new tablet under its budget Redmi sub-brand called the Pad Pro. The device is a mid-range tablet equipped with a Qualcomm chip, a screen that supports Dolby Vision, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility.
The Pad Pro sports a 12.2-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Inside, you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The tablet ships with HyperOS based on Android 14 and as for accessories, it supports a Bluetooth keyboard along with a stylus that attaches magnetically on the side.
For imaging, it has a simple setup made up of a single 8MP camera on both the front and back sides. Powering the large tablet is 10,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. When it comes to connectivity, the Xiaomi device supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Pad Pro comes in two colour options and retails with a starting price of CNY1,499 (~RM988) for the base 6GB+128GB trim. As of writing, the company has yet to announce the pricing and availability of the tablet for other markets.
