The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has basically the exact same camera setup as its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold4. Naturally, there are a range of emotions that have been felt in response to this. But it looks like we may be in for an episode of deja vu, as a leakster has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will be using the same cameras as the Fold5.
This claim comes from serial leakster @UniverseIce on X, previously Twitter. Noted in the post is that the similarities apply to both the rear camera combo, the front-facing one on the outside, as well as the under-display camera on the inside. Should the claim about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 cameras be accurate, this would mean that the series would be using the same camera setup for three generations in a row.
The camera configuration of Galaxy Z Fold6 is exactly the same as that of Fold5. Whether it's the rear camera or the front camera or UDC

For context, both the Fold5 and Fold4 came with a 50MP main + 12MP wide-angle + 10MP 3x optical zoom camera at the back. On the outer display, there’s a 10MP camera in a punch-hole cutout, and under the inner screen is a 4MP shooter. These may be making another appearance come July once the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 gets announced.
If you were looking forward to the usual incremental upgrades with the next foldable, not all hope is lost yet. After all, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is much rumoured to be getting an Ultra variant. So far, it’s unclear what the suffix to the name entails, but it would probably not be unfair to expect a bump in the spec sheet, which would include the cameras.
