Tesla announced that the Cybertruck is finally and officially in Malaysia, ending earlier speculation of its existence in the country. The EV pickup truck will soon be available for a private preview, but when exactly is still to be determined by the Elon Musk-owned company.
The private viewing of the Cybertruck will be held at Tesla’s three Experience Centres. These centres are located at Cyberjaya, Pavilion Damansara Heights, and Sunway Big Box.
The Cybertruck was first unveiled back in 2019, with the first unit officially built at Tesla’s Giga Texas plant in July 2023. Then, in November 2023, it delivered the first batch of the vehicles to its customers.
Tesla will be bringing two versions of the Cybertruck into Malaysia. The first is the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive model, and the second is the Tri Motor All-Whell Drive Cyberbeast. There’s still no local pricing yet but the Dual Motor model will retail at US$79,990 (~RM380,192), while the Tri Motor Cyberbeast model will cost US$99,990 (~RM475,252).
Tesla has also promised a public preview but as of this publication, there is still no specific date set.
