vivo has listed two more phones on the SIRIM database, which is usually an indicator that they will be launching in Malaysia soon. The two phones in question, the V30e and the Y18, were both listed on the same day.
The V30e received SIRIM certification with the model number V2339 on 4 April 2024 while the Y18 made an appearance with the model number V2333. It seems that the former will be a new addition to the mid-range V30 series with stripped down specs and a more affordable price tag, while the latter is an entry-level Y-series smartphone.
Regarding specs, neither phones have been officially announced by the brand yet, but there have leaks of key features. The V30e is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB of RAM and ship out with Android 14. It is suggested that the phone will feature the same 64MP camera found in its predecessor, the V29e.
As for the Y18, it has been revealed to run on a MediaTek Helio G85 with 6GB of RAM and Android 14 out of the box. The phone is rumoured to be a rebadged Y03, but given that both phones will be sold in Malaysia, there will likely be differentiating factors.
