realme is set to release the GT6, its next flagship smartphone that will succeed last year’s GT5. While no detail about the phone has been announced by the brand yet, it seems that, unlike its predecessor, the upcoming flagship will likely make its way to Malaysia soon after its launch.
The GT6 was listed on the SIRIM database just today, receiving the certification with the model number RMX3851. While not much is known about the phone, certain key specs have been revealed through some of its certifications. For one thing, the flagship will support 5G and NFC, but that is to be expected.
Powering the device will be a slightly larger 5,500mAh battery, but there is no word yet on the charging speed, although it will likely use the brand’s SuperVOOC technology. On the software side, it will run on realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. Moreover, benchmark results seem to indicate that the GT6 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
To recap on last year’s flagship, the GT5 sported a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. It ran on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with two variants that packed a 5,240mAh battery with 150W charging and a 4,600mAh capacity with 240W charging. For photography, it was fitted with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens.
