Microsoft has announced that its Build: AI Day event in Malaysia will be taking place on 2 May 2024. As you may recall, the event was initially planned to happen last month, but later postponed due to unspecified reasons.
Also attending the event is Microsoft CEO and chairman Satya Nadella, who will be making his first official appearance in Malaysia since taking over the role from Steve Ballmer a decade ago. Nadella will deliver the event’s opening keynote, broadly discussing the new era of AI, and the opportunity for every organisation in the region to apply advances in technology to shape what comes next for them, as well as for Malaysia and the society.

The event itself is catered towards developers, data scientists, and the likes. Held only for a day, Microsoft Build: AI Day will offer various AI related sessions, including panel discussions with industry experts. Other activities include hackathons, tech demonstrations, as well as a Connection Hub which lets attendees engage in one-to-one meetings and even collaborate with experts and fellow developers.
Apart from the new date, Microsoft also revealed that Microsoft Build: AI Day will now be held at Nexus, Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Bangsar South. Those interested to attend can register via the event’s official page, though keep in mind that seats are limited.
