realme today has officially launched its new Note 50 entry-level smartphone in Malaysia. It is the first of its kind to feature the “Note” moniker, intended to be the brand’s new line of smartphones which offers consumers with essential specifications at affordable prices.
Initially introduced in January, the new realme Note 50 features a 6.74-inch LCD display with 720p resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 650 nits. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the phone itself is rated at IP54 in terms of dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, the entry-level device runs on a Unisoc T612 chipset, which is paired together with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB internal storage, as well as expandable memory support via microSD. Meanwhile, powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, whereas handling all things software is the realme UI T interface that’s based on Android 13 Go.
Imaging-wise, the Note 50 packs a 13MP primary camera, along with a 0.08MP auxiliary lens. Flipping back to the front, housed within the water-drop notch on its display is a 5MP selfie camera. realme notes that the phone is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps via its rear cameras, and 720p at 30fps with its front-facing shooter.
Both configurations are offered in Midnight Black and Sky Blue colourways. Those interested may purchase the realme Note 50 starting today via the brand’s official online stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as authorised dealers nationwide. Additionally, realme is including a 48-month fluency protection guarantee with the newly launched smartphone, promising four years of sustained software experience.
As part of its special Hari Raya promotion, the brand is offering the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version of the realme Note 50 at only RM299, exclusively via Shopee. Outside of this promotion, this configuration will retail at RM349. Meanwhile, the 4GB + 128GB option is also available starting today, coming in at RM399.
