Xiaomi has unveiled a new limited edition of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, in conjunction with its upcoming Xiaomi Fan Festival (XFF) celebration on 6 April. Priced at RM1,999, only 1,000 units of the phone are available for purchase via the brand’s official online stores on Lazada and Shopee starting today.
Exclusive to the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G XFF Special Edition is a new Mystic Silver finish, along with the festival’s logo in the back. Apart from that, its specifications are unchanged from the original model that was released back in January, though Xiaomi notes that this particular model will come with the new first-party HyperOS interface instead of MIUI 14 out of the box.
To recap, the Pro+ 5G variant sports a curved 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1220 x 2712 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Also onboard are stereo speakers, a USB-C port, and IP68 rating for dust/water resistance.
Under its hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC, along with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It has a battery capacity of 5,000mAh with 120W fast charging, whereas wireless connectivity support includes dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.
Imaging-wise, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G offers a triple camera setup consisting of a Samsung ISOCELL 200MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, found in front is a 16MP selfie camera that’s housed within a punch-hole cutout on its display.
As mentioned in our hands-on article, the Pro+ model offers considerable performance in terms of hardware, battery and camera. Despite being categorised as mid-range, it features an elegant yet premium looking design – thanks to its large, curved display which is often uncommon for smartphones under this segment.
