ASUS has put up a pretty outlandish teaser that would fit right in a compilation of April Fool’s joke announcements. But the company insists that not only is this not a joke, it also promised more details during the upcoming Computex 2024. The product in question is called the ROG Mjolnir.
The teaser was posted on the brand’s account on X, previously Twitter. Though the post doesn’t say what else it is, from the looks of it the ASUS ROG Mjolnir looks to be a portable power station of sorts. On the side that’s being shown, there are four power sockets, two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports. There’s also what looks roughly like an RJ45 LAN port, as well as a screen that shows details like remaining charge and output.

Considering the name, it’s no surprise that the ASUS ROG Mjolnir is named and modeled after the hammer of Norse mythology. Not exactly surprising, since the brand also has power supply units called Thor. That being said though it remains to be seen if the hammer’s handle can really be used as such in this case, or if it will serve another purpose, like being a light source for instance.
At any rate, we’ll find out more about the ASUS ROG Mjolnir once this year’s edition of Computex rolls around. The event is currently scheduled to start in early June.
