The HONOR X9b was first released late last year as a durable mid-ranger. At the time though, there were no storage space options to speak of, with your only choice being 256GB. If you were holding out for a model with more storage space though, your prayers have been answered, as the company has announced a 512GB model.
Everything else about the HONOR X9b remains the same. This means the 6.78-inch curved 120Hz AMOLED screen, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, the 12GB of RAM, and the 5,800mAh battery with 35W charging support. Cameras are also the familiar 108MP main + 5MP wide-angle +2MP macro combo at the back, with a 16MP secondary shooter in front.
Of course, the spec sheet of the HONOR X9b is arguably secondary to its durability, which consists of the Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display, and to a lesser extent, an IP53 rating. You can head on over to the review of the phone, linked at the top of the article, for a description of its durability, in the face of a self-admittedly clumsy user.
With all other things unchanged though, the bump up on storage space means an equivalent increase in cost. And the HONOR X9b has an asking price of RM1,699. The existing 256GB model is also seeing a slight discount, costing RM1,399 instead of the usual RM1,499, but only for a limited time via the company’s own official site, linked here.
