The OPPO Reno11 F was launched two weeks ago, with the phone hitting shelves last week. But today, the company gave us a chance to have the phone in our hands for awhile. And it feels pretty well-equipped for its price.
For context, the OPPO Reno11 F has an asking price of RM1,399. With the top end of phone prices ballooning in recent times, one might expect those underneath to suffer similar effects. But it’s apparently not something that applies to this phone.
To start, the OPPO Reno11 F sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen. And so, it has a familiar corresponding size. It has flat edges with slightly rounded corners, so it sits comfortably in hand. Weight is a tad on the light side, but it has just enough texture at the back that it isn’t slipping out of your grip often. This is despite the three colour variants of the OPPO Reno11 F feeling slightly different at the back.
For better or worse, the homogeny of phone design means that most of the other elements are where you’d expect them. Which means that the OPPO Reno11 F has the volume rocker and power button on the right, the USB-C port and speaker grille at the bottom, and the SIM tray, probably the least set-in-stone element, on the left.
Then we come to the camera island, which is probably where most phones distinguish themselves from each other these days. For the OPPO Reno11 F, this comes in two levels of elevation, with two more islands sitting atop the first one. Here, there’s the 64MP shooter sitting alone, with the 8MP and 2MP shooters enjoying each other’s company. The LED flash sits pretty distinctively beside the two.
We also had the opportunity give the camera setup a slight test run. But as it’s done indoors, and the lighting is a tad challenging, there’s some visible noise in some of the images, with finer details being the unfortunate casualty. Worth noting that the shots of the phones you see here are also taken using an OPPO Reno11 F.
To reiterate, the OPPO Reno11 F has an asking price of RM1,399. You can find out more about the phone, or even make a purchase of your own, via the brand’s official online store, or the official stores on Shopee and Lazada.
