There have been plenty of rumours regarding the next batch of Samsung foldables, from them getting pricier variants to getting FE models. Granted, it’s possible that both can simultaneously be true. But a recent rumour claims to have more specific details about what the more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will entail. And it would supposedly be in the form of an Exynos chipset.
9to5Google reports that a number of industry leaksters have made the claim that, in addition to the usual Snapdragon chipset, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will also come with an Exynos variant. Though of the supposed list, only one – @kro_roe on X, formerly Twitter – was specifically mentioned.
On one hand, this would be a first for any foldable by the South Korean tech giant, let alone the clamshell foldable family. But like the Galaxy S series, the presence of the Exynos chipset within the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will be dependent on the market. It’s probably safe to say that markets like the local one which got Exynos versions of the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will also be getting the Z Flip6 with the company’s own chips.
Of course, like any other rumour, this one should also be taken with a pinch of salt. This is especially considering the frankly wild range of rumours surrounding the upcoming foldables by the company, which are expected to be revealed in July.
