Black Shark has officially brought over its latest smartwatch, the GT3, in the Malaysian market. The watch was unveiled less than a week ago and is a major update to the GT smartwatch from last year. Notably, it bears a resemblance to the OPPO Watch 4 Pro with its curved rectangular screen.
The GT3 sports a 1.96-inch 502×410 AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits, all encased in a Zinc alloy body. It has a built-in microphone as well as speakers, meaning that it supports Bluetooth calling when connected to your phone. For protection, it has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Oddly, the brand did not disclose what chipset it runs on.
For health and fitness, the GT3 offers sensors that can monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, step count, sleep, and more. It is also equipped with over 100 sports modes to track your workouts. As for the battery life, it can last up to 10 days on a single charge.
On the software side, it seems to run on its own OS instead of Wear OS. It has an AI assistant called Shark GPT and it even offers unlimited AI-created watch faces.
The GT3 retails for RM249 on Lazada and RM299 on Shopee, with a free pair of wireless earbuds for the first 50 customers. It comes in black and silver colour options.
