Tecno has confirmed the launch of the Pova 6 Pro in Malaysia. The budget smartphone will be coming here soon and it is expected to available with a very affordable price tag, given its retail price in the Philippines.
The Pova 6 Pro comes with a semi-transparent rear design that features a dynamic light LED setup for lighting effects. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Inside the chassis lies a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 5G chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but of course, the local configuration could be different.
For imaging, the phone is fitted with a 108MP main camera alongside two secondary sensors on the back, while the display houses a 32MP front shooter. The entry-level device is powered by a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 70W charging and 10W reverse charging. Connectivity-wise, it supports 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 5.
The brand has not yet revealed the Malaysian launch date for the Pova 6 Pro, so watch this space for updates. As for the pricing, the phone retails for PHP11,999 (~RM1,008) in the Philippines, so we can expect a similar price tag here. It is unknown when the company plans to announce the vanilla Pova 6, which has already made an appearance on SIRIM.
