WhatsApp has announced an update to its popular messaging platform that lets users pin more messages than ever. While you were previously limited to pinning only one chat, now you can pin up to three chats on the app, allowing you to prioritise more contacts.
This update was announced by the Meta-owned company through its Twitter page, meaning that it will be rolling out globally to all users soon. To start pinning chats, you only need to swipe to the right and the option to swipe will appear.

While this rollout is certainly welcomed, it is less than what was expected to be released. Just earlier this month, WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp was set to launch an update that would allow users to pin up to five messages at a time, with possible expansion of that limit in the future.
Speaking of speculation, WhatsApp was seen last year to be testing a timer for pinned chats, with options for 24 hours, seven days, or a month. This was expected to roll out to the general public in the near future, but it has yet to be announced by the app. What the app did release, however, was the ability to pin group chats.
