realme has officially launched yet another smartphone for the 12 lineup, this time dubbed the realme 12x. The phone is the fifth device in the series and it seems to be the most affordable offering so far, although it comes at the price of a much slower charging speed.
The realme 12x sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 625 nits. Underneath the chassis, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, which comes with 5G support, and is paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
For imaging, the budget device comes with a 50MP primary camera on the back alongside an unspecified secondary sensor. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with a significantly reduced charging speed of only 15W. Additionally, it is equipped with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance as well as a screen that get be used while wet.
The realme 12x comes in two colour options and has a starting price of CNY1399 (~RM917). It is unknown when it will be available in Malaysia but we know it will be coming here soon given that it has already received SIRIM certification last week. The brand is also set to launch the standard realme 12 model on 25 March.
