The rumour mill is pretty wild these days where the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Pro models are concerned. Release windows have been floated around, with the most recent ones being between late March and the entirety of April. Now, another rumour pegs it for 26 March specifically.
9to5Mac reports that leakster Instant Digital claimed on Chinese social media Weibo that there will be an iPad-related event is scheduled for 26 March. Also noted in the report is that a number of accessories relating to the Apple tablets are being listed on Amazon, also with the 26 March release date.
These dates are certainly very optimistic compared to the previous late March to April window, there may be a gap between then the new tablet models are announced and when they actually become available for purchase. After all, the bitten fruit often ships new hardware with the latest flavour of software – iPadOS 17.4 in this case – pre-installed.
Still, as with such claims, the usual pinch of salt is advised. On the flip side, the recommended dosage this time is only for a week, so it’s not too long a wait before we find out for sure if the claim is accurate.
