Infinix has finally revealed the Malaysian pricing for its new Note 40 series smartphones. Unfortunately, though, it seems that our market is only getting two of the four models, missing out on the ones with faster charging speeds. Nevertheless, these variants also include the wireless MagCharge technology.
Firstly, there’s the Note 40 Pro 5G, which sports a curved 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. Oddly enough, it only gets an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance while the cheaper Note 40 is rated at IP54.
The base model Note 40, on the other hand, gets the same display as the Pro but with a flat panel instead of having curved edges. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor paired with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
Camera-wise, they both feature a 108MP main camera with OIS as well as a 32MP selfie shooter, but only the Pro gets two secondary sensors whereas the vanilla model has single 2MP sensor. The entry-level phones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 20W wireless charging. Additionally, they support bypass charging as well as reverse wired and wireless charging for your other devices.
The Note 40 gets a price tag of RM899 while the 40 Pro 5G retails for RM1,099. Both phones were briefly available on the brand’s Shopee store but as of writing, they seem to have been taken down.
