Infinix has globally launched the new Note 40 series in Sepang, offering a total of four models across the lineup. The series consists of the vanilla Note 40, the 40 Pro, the 40 Pro 5G, and the 40 Pro Plus 5G. All the phones are equipped with the brand’s in-house Cheetah X1 charging chip and ships with XOS 14 based on Android 14.
First up, let’s start with the 5G models of the bunch, the Note 40 Pro 5G and 40 Pro Plus. Both phones are largely similar in specs with the only differentiating factors being the battery, charging speed, and the RAM amount. They both sport a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass along with an IP53 rating for protection. Under the hood, they run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 paired with 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM for the 40 Pro 5G, and 12GB of RAM for the 40 Pro Plus.
For imaging, the 5G variants feature a 108MP OIS main camera and two secondary sensors on the back, while the display houses a 32MP selfie shooter. Powering the 40 Pro Plus is a 4,600mAh battery with 100W charging while the 40 Pro 5G gets a bigger 5,000mAh capacity with 45W charging. They also support bypass charging as well as 20W wireless charging with its MagCharge technology.
On the 4G-only side, the vanilla Note 40 and 40 Pro 4G are fitted with the same display as its 5G siblings but run on a lower-end MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. Both come with 256GB of storage, but the 40 Pro 4G gets up to 12GB of RAM while the base model is limited to just 8GB of RAM. For protection, they have Corning Gorilla Glass and an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
The Note 40 only gets a single 108MP sensor on the back while the 40 Pro 4G has a 108MP camera with OIS along with two additional 2MP sensors. Both the phones are powered by a 5,000mAh but the charging speed is lowered to 70W for the 40 Pro 4G and 45W for the Note 40, although the 20W wireless charging speed is retained.
All four models are equipped with a so-called “Active Halo” LED on the back, which is used for notifications, charging indications, and more. As for how much they cost, Infinix will be announcing the Malaysian pricing for the Note 40 series soon.
