It’s been long rumoured that Apple is set to open its first ever store in Malaysia, with recent evidence pointing at its potential opening at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. Now, a new leak has surfaced online in the form of a short video that was shared on X (formerly Twitter), showing the interior of the alleged establishment.
The video was widely shared on the social media platform by @XavierNaxa, who credited it to a separate X user @rehanhamdan, though it is unclear whether the latter recorded it or obtained it. What’s apparent now is that the footage has been completely removed by both users due to unspecified reasons, but not before it was saved by other users and later shared elsewhere.

Shown in the video is the alleged Apple store’s interior, featuring an experiential area with several tables, showcase racks, and what appears to be a large LCD display. The venue itself is depicted to be several storeys tall, while an internal view of the building’s unique windowed roof is also visible. No signs of the company’s branding anywhere, however.
It was reported last year by Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman that Apple is set to open its first-ever store in Malaysia sometime this year, in-line with its expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region. We’ve also discovered that the company has been on a recruitment drive since 2022, including for on-location managerial positions and retail staff, with several vacant positions still being listed as of writing on the Jobs at Apple page on its official website.
The company has been very secretive on the matter, and has neither denied nor confirmed the store’s existence. That said, there’s still no word on when Apple will eventually open its doors to the Malaysian public.
