Huawei has announced that it will be bringing the nova 12 series to the Malaysian market soon, but it’s not the four models launched in China last year. Instead the company is releasing three new variants that have yet to be officially unveiled, namely the nova 12s, 12 SE, and 12i.
The company has only revealed a select few key specs of the upcoming devices. Both the 12 SE and the 12i will feature a 108MP main camera while the 12s will be fitted with a 60MP selfie snapper. All three smartphones will ship with the brand’s in-house EMUI 14 operating system and fast charging, although it did not specify the charging speeds.
According to rumours, the 12s could potentially be a rebranded nova 11 as they both carry the “FOA-LX9“ model number and even have identical designs, which means it might sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and the same 60MP front shooter. Meanwhile, the 12i is similarly expected to only offer 4G connectivity.
Unfortunately, the company has not yet revealed the launch date for the nova 12 series, so stay tuned for any updates. In the meantime, it is offering customers a RM50 early bird voucher for the upcoming phones on its website.
