Last month, realme launched a couple of devices from the realme 12 series in Malaysia. It has also confirmed that the vanilla version will be coming here soon, but we might actually see another variant added into the mix as the realme 12x has just been spotted on the SIRIM database.
Listed today with the model number RMX3997, the realme 12x will be the fifth member of the lineup. No launch date has been given yet for the remaining models but the 12 Pro is still the only variant that has not shown up on SIRIM, meaning that it is possible only four of the five will be made available in the local market.
Nothing about the realme 12x has been officially revealed yet, but some key specs have emerged through its appearance on several certification databases. For one thing, the phone is expected to feature a 50MP main camera as well as selfie shooter with a 26mm focal length. It will also be equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging.
Given the charging speed, it is likely that the 12x will be positioned lower than the realme 12. For reference, the vanilla variant is fitted with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 48W charging. It also sports 6.72-inch LCD display, runs on a MediaTek DImensity 6100 Plus chipset, and has a 108MP main camera.
