About a fortnight ago, leaks regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 surfaced online, showing that it looks mostly unchanged from the existing model. Of course, the observation was based completely on CAD renders of the device, which isn’t exactly a reliable way to get exact measurements. Now, courtesy of another leak, it looks like the external screen may be getting a slight upsize.
Occasional leakster @TheGalox_ shared on X, previously Twitter, a plausible spec sheet of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. From this, it is claimed that the upcoming clamshell foldable will come with a slightly larger outer display, measuring at 3.9 inches compared to the current 3.4. In a similar vein, the battery is also getting a slight upsize, from 3,700mAh to 4,000mAh.

Keeping with upgrades, one of the main cameras on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is also claimed to be upgraded to an 50MP shooter, with the other one being a familiar 12MP. There may also be a model with 12GB of RAM rather than the usual 8GB. And finally, the least surprising upgrade, is that the chipset will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Then there are less quantifiable upgrades like “improved hinge & internal layout”. The former could be anything ranging from a hinge that can survive more folds to better dust resistance, both the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 can use. But overall, some of these are small but significant enough upgrades that fans of the foldable will enjoy. Whether or not it pans out, that will still have to wait.
