It’s about that time when Sony’s rumour mill begins churning out tidbits about its next-generation Xperia 1 VI, 5 VI, and 10 VI. Well, there certainly is information about the brand’s flagships but it is not what we would describe as anything substantial.
As per a report by the Japanese mobile news site, Sumaho Digest, the information that leaked pertains to the amount of RAM each Xperia VI model would sport. And that is pretty much it.
Specifically, the Xperia 1 VI would be getting either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, the former being the same amount as the current 1 V, and the latter certainly being an upgrade for the flagship. As for the 5 VI, the phone will allegedly come with 8GB RAM, the same as its soon-to-be predecessor.
Then there’s the Xperia 10 VI, Sony’s mid-range series lineup. The phone lineup will reportedly have two models: one with 6GB and another with 8GB.
At this time, there is no further information about the Xperia VI lineup. However, it is likely that both the 1 VI and 5 VI will undoubtedly be fitted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset. There’s also an earlier report that the 1 VI will be fitted with a triple 48MP main camera, but as with all rumours, you’re going to want to take it at face value.
