vivo is set to introduce another budget smartphone into the Malaysian market dubbed the Y03. While the phone has not even been unveiled yet, it has already made an appearance in several databases, including SIRIM.
Listed with the model number V2332, the Y03 received certification on 29 February 2024. With this, it is certain that the budget device will be coming here in the very near future. The Y02 was released back in 2022 with its most recent refresh being the Y02t, which retails for only RM499, so we can expect the upcoming update to be priced within this range.
According to leaks, the Y03 will sport a 6.56-inch LCD display with a 720p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Alleged renders show that it will have a flat design on the sides as well as the front and back, with the rear panel featuring a matte finish. The back will get a 13MP main camera paired with a depth sensor while the front will house a 5MP selfie shooter.
Inside, it is believed that the phone will run on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. As for the battery, it will apparently get a 5,000mAh capacity with 15W charging. For protection, the entry-level offering will be equipped with IP54 dust and water resistance.
