Images allegedly featuring DJI’s unannounced Avata 2 and Goggles 3 products have made their way online, courtesy of reliable leakster Igor Bogdanov (aka Quadro_News). Both devices are the successors to the brand’s prior FPV drone and goggles combo that launched two years ago.
Unfortunately, Bogdanov only name-dropped the two products and released a series of photos that allegedly depict them, but did not provide any further information on their specifications. Nevertheless, the images still provide some insights on what to expect from the Avata 2 and Goggles 3, with the most apparent detail being their new designs.
The next-gen FPV drone is shown to feature a narrower profile than its predecessor, but retains the quad-propeller design and single-axis camera placement. Dual sensors can be seen on top as well as on the back of the drone, while what appears to be a removable battery with a four-bar battery indicator and two buttons (one on the side and another behind it) is also visible on the rear. Like the past model, the Avata 2 is expected to be compact sized.

Next is the Goggles 3, which is depicted to sport a similar silhouette as its predecessor, complete with the same flippable antennas on each upper corner. New to the upcoming model is an adjustable forehead rest, and two front-facing cameras. Regarding the latter, Bogdanov suggests that DJI may incorporate some kind of AR features to the Goggles 3 (and maybe the Avata 2 as well).

The images also consisted of two promotional-quality images, which indicates that an official announcement from DJI might not be far off. As to when that may be is still anyone’s guess for now.
