With the flagship S24 family out of the way, it was about time for Samsung to announce the the mid-ranged A series entries of the year. And with that, the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 are now official. But despite being two different models, the two have surprisingly a lot in common.
To start, both the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 come with a 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both also share a 5,000mAh battery, and support for 25W charging. For the local market, it looks like we are also limited to the 256GB storage option. On the other hand, the former has 12GB of RAM, while the latter gets 8GB. As usual, the company is very secretive with which exact chipsets the phones use, but as GSMArena reports, these use the Exynos 1480 and the Exynos 1380.
Both the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 come with a triple camera setup, and two of the three look to be identical as well. To start, both come with a 50MP main and 5MP macro cameras, but the former has a 12MP wide-angle camera while the latter has an 8MP wide-angle camera. For their front-shooters, these are 32MP and 13MP shooters respectively.
Despite the announcement, Samsung Malaysia has not revealed the prices nor availability dates for the Galaxy A55 and A35. These will likely be revealed in due time, but we’ve reached out to the company anyway for these details.
