Last month, we saw OPPO launch the Reno11 F in Thailand, a third member of the Reno11 series. Now, the company has officially teased the local arrival of the mid-range smartphone on its Malaysian Facebook page, posting that it is “coming soon”.
Of course, the phone was already expected to land on our shores given that it was spotted on the SIRIM database before it was even unveiled. The exact launch date has not been revealed yet, so be sure to watch this space for future updates.
The specs of the Reno11 F are nearly identical to the vanilla Reno11, but it differs by the camera setup as well as the display. It sports a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a higher peak brightness of 1,100 nits, Panda glass for protection, and a flat display instead of curved edges.
The mid-ranger runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and is similarly powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging, but it also adds IP65 dust and water resistance, something that its two higher-spec’d siblings notably lack. For cameras, it features a 64MP main shooter alongside an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens — the lack of a telephoto lens hints that it could get a lower price tag.
