Gigabyte Malaysia officially launched two new AORUS 16X and 17X gaming laptops. Originally announced back at CES 2024, the laptops are fitted with up to an Intel Core i9-14900HX laptop processors, which are effectively refurbished versions of the desktop 14900K.
Starting with the AORUS 16X, this is the model Gigabyte is planning on pushing to the Malaysian consumers. At a starting price of RM7,119, the 16X comes with either an Intel Core i7-14650HX, 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 140W, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 16-inch QHD display with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz.
Add on another RM1,140, and you can get the model with RTX 4070 140W GPU. However, if you’re willing to pay the premium asking price of RM9,289, you get the SKU with the Core i9-14900HX, an RTX 4070 140W and double the DDR5 RAM.
But for those looking for a top-spec’d laptop from the brand, there is the AORUS 17X. Gigabyte says that it is only bringing one SKU for the model, with an SRP of RM14,499. At that price, you get a Core i9-14900HX, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and RTX 4080 175W, 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, and a 17.3-inch QHD display with 240Hz refresh rate. On a related note, Gigabyte did say that it is planning on bringing in a model fitted with an RTX 4090 but did not specify an exact date.
Both the Gigabyte AORUS 16X and 17X are already available for purchase.
