Infinix today has announced that it will globally launch its Note 40 smartphone series next week. What’s interesting is that it also confirmed that the event itself will take place in Malaysia, making it the first time for the brand to host such a major occasion here since entering the local market back in 2017.
Details surrounding the upcoming Infinix Note 40 series are still scarce, but listings discovered on several certification sites suggest that the line-up will consist of several models. Entries of a vanilla and a Pro were recently discovered in SIRIM, while Indonesia’s own regulatory body notes that additional variants, including a Pro 5G and a high-end Pro+ variant, are to be expected as well. It is also believed that only the latter two are capable of supporting 5G connectivity.

Listings in the FCC database suggests that the Infinix Note 40 and Note 40 Pro will feature a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, meaning that the two may only support up to 4G cellular connectivity. It is still unclear which chipsets are equipped on the 5G compatible Pro and Pro+ variants at this time.
Additionally, it is suggested that the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro would sport a triple camera setup, an in-display front-facing camera, Android 14, as well as NFC and Bluetooth 5.3 support. All of which may also be included on the two 5G variants, while an image sourced from AndroidCentral (shown below) suggests that the Pro+ model may allegedly come with a curved display.
Lastly, it is expected that all four will come with a 5,000mAh battery, but with varying fast charging rates. Sure enough, the official teaser from Infinix confirms that the series will feature FastCharge 2.0 technology. According to listings, the vanilla variant may feature 45W, both Pro models with 70W, while the previously mentioned image hints that the Pro+ will feature a fast charging rate in the triple digits.
As usual, we’ll only know more about the upcoming Infinix Note 40 Series once it officially launches. On that note, the event will be held at the Sepang International Circuit on 18 March 2024 at 6pm.
