An industry leakster shared on X, formerly Twitter, earlier in the week that the vivo X Fold3 will be among the foldables being launched this year. It looks like the launch could be pretty soon, at least for its home market, as what looks like website assets of the phone have made their way online.
These leaked assets come via a post on Chinese social media Weibo. As these look like what you’d expect to see from the official vivo X Fold3 page on the website, there’s quite a lot of info here. To start, it looks like the main screen, when unfolded, will beasure 8.03 inches, with a 2K+ resolution and a 3,000 nits brightness. The panel itself is also noted to be a Samsung E7. On the subject of screens, it will have 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensors for both the main and secondary screens.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also mentioned, as well as storage space of up to 2TB. For its cameras, the vivo X Fold3 looks to be a 50MP main + 50MP wide-angle + 64MP telephoto camera combo, all of which comes with OIS. There’s also the V3 imaging chip that we’ve seen in the X100 Pro. The entire package has an IPX8 rating, and when unfolded is thinner than the X5 Max.
Of course, as convincing as these details are, confirmation will only come alongside an official announcement. As for when that will happen, GSMArena reports that it is expected to happen at the end of the month, with a Pro model in tow.
