Over the weekend, we saw claims that the PC port for Ghost of Tsushima would be announced within the week. The actual date ended up a bit off, but PlayStation still ultimately made the announcement that the game’s Director’s Cut would be making the platform jump.
As with most PC ports these days, you get a slightly wider range of display options not available on console. Like Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut gets all the way up to 48:9 for triple monitor setups. Then there’s the list of upscaling tech like Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3 and Intel XeSS, as well as DLAA and Reflex Low Latency.
In the large scheme of things, these are all the smaller parts of the announcement. Because more important than any of that, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC will support all the DualSense magic that made the game such a gem on the PS5 – haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The one downside is that this is still limited to a wired connection only.
Over the years since the game first released for the PS4, I’ve fawned over Ghost of Tsushima as one of the best games in recent times. This extends to even the Iki Island expansion of the Director’s Cut, as well as the free Legends multiplayer mode, all of which are great to say the least. Up until now, it was unfortunate for those who only gamed on PC that they could not experience this greatness. But come 16 May, you’ll be able to experience this for yourself on Steam and the Epic Games Store, for a price of RM249.
