Ugreen has launched a new charger called the Nexode RG, which is a charger that is meant to be robot companion, sort of. As you can tell from the images, the company is going for cute as one of this product’s selling points, but it also has some impressive specs that make it a premium accessory for your mobile devices.
To start with, the Nexode RG is capable of charging your devices with a speed of up to 65W using gallium nitride (GaN) technology. Using GaN instead of silicon semiconductors means that the brand was able to make this fast charger relatively small.
The Nexode RG comes with 2 USB-C ports as well as a single USB-A port, allowing you to connect up to three devices. Ugreen claims that this charger can top up an iPhone 15 Pro to 60% or a MacBook Air M2 to 51% in only 30 minutes.
Aside from the robot design, it also comes equipped with removable boots that function as both a stand and a protective lid for the prongs. There is even a temperature monitor system to avoid short circuiting, overloads, and overvoltage, on top of being made of flame-retardant materials.
The Nexode RG can be purchased on the brand’s Shopee page in black and purple colour options. It comes in several variants, starting from RM69.91 for the 30W version with a US plug, RM134 for the black 65W US model, and RM147.40 for the purple 65W US model. As for the UK plug variant, which is the plug type that we use in Malaysia, it costs RM127.95.
