IQOO has recently launched the Pad Air mid-range tablet in China. It is the brand‘s second device of this category, with the first being the original Dimensity 9000+ equipped IQOO Pad which debuted in May of last year.
Unlike its cousin, the IQOO Pad Air offers a smaller display and a different chipset. Starting with the former, featured on the tablet is a 11.5-inch LCD display with 2800 x 1840 pixel resolution, up to 144Hz variable refresh rate, and 500 nits peak brightness. It measures at 259.74 x 176 x 6.67mm and weighs 530g.
On the inside, the tablet packs a Snapdragon 870 chipset, along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its battery has a capacity of 8,500mAh and supports 44W fast charging via USB-C. Apart from that, it features four 6W speakers, Android 13 via OriginOS 3, as well as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC connectivity, and is also compatible with IQOO Pencil and Keyboard Air accessories.
Meanwhile, found on the back of the Pad Air is a lone 8MP with a maximum video recording capability of 1080p. Flipping over to the front, situated on the side bezel of its display is a 5MP selfie camera for selfies and conference calls.
In China, the IQOO Pad Air is available in black and blue colour options, starting from CNY1,799 (~RM1,181) and topping off at CNY2,599 (~RM1,706) for the highest configuration. There’s no word on the tablet’s availability for other regions at this time.
