Casio today has announced the release of its new G-Shock GMA-P2100 series. The new models retain the 2100 line-up‘s iconic octagonal and shock resistant design, but offer a more compact form factor and vibrant monochromatic colourways.
According to the company, the case of the new GMA-P2100 is 2.7 mm narrower, making it 94% the size of conventional GMA-S2100 models. The band length has also been shortened by 10 mm, therefore making it easier to be worn by those with smaller wrists. Casio adds that both the bezel and band are made with bio-based resin, while the watch itself is water resistant at up to 200-metres of depth.
As mentioned earlier, the new models come in vibrant colour options, including turquoise blue, bright pink, and white. Light and dark shades of the featured colours are used for different components, including the dial, index marks, and hands in order to give the streamlined face a look that has both depth and dimension, as well as easy to read.
In terms of features, the GMA-P2100 series comes with world time with 31 time zones, 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, full auto-calendar (up to year 2099), five daily alarms, and double LED light. Additionally, the watch uses a CR1025 battery, which is typically claimed to last approximately three years.
The G-Shock GMA-P2100 is now available in Malaysia, priced at RM545. Those interested may purchase the new timepiece via the Casio E-Commerce website, as well as authorised G-Shock stores, G-Factory and authorised dealers nationwide.
