ASUS officially announced the ROG Rapture GT-BE98, the brand’s latest Quad-Band Wi-Fi 7 router. The router is the brand’s latest gaming-grade router and as its designation suggests, it’s made to support the latest Wi-Fi 7 connectivity standard.
Specs-wise, the router supports the new 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band, effectively doubling data transmission capacity. Additionally, it also uses a high-density 4096-AQM data transmission, which translate to approximately 20% greater data rates than the Wi-Fi 6 and 6E.
The GT-BE98 also features Multi-Link Operation (MLO), allowing a device to simultaneously connect on multiple frequency bands, meaning that this is also a mesh-WiFi compatible router. Beneath the hood, the router houses a quad-core processor running at 2.6GHz, 256MB flash memory, and 2GB of RAM.
The ROG Rapture GT-BE98 gaming router is available starting today and retails for RM3,988. You can learn more about the router via the official product page.
