vivo has officially launched the Y100, its newest entry-level smartphone in the Malaysian market. The phone gets an affordable price tag while retaining a relatively new Snapdragon processor as well as fast charging, IP54 dust and water resistance, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The Y100 sports a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, similar to its Indonesian counterpart. Under the chassis, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For photography, the back of the phone features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a flicker sensor, while the front punch-hole cutout houses an 8MP selfie shooter. Moreover, the budget device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
The Y100 is available in purple and black colour options, with the purple leather colourway equipped with an anti-stain coating. It retails for RM1,199 and for those who purchase it between 28 February until 28 March, you can get a free pair of wireless earbuds as well as an extended warranty.
