Last October, we saw Shopee introduce a new feature called Instant Delivery, which allows customers to receive an order within two hours. The option was initially limited to just the Klang Valley, but now the company has expanded the feature to select parts of Johor.
According to its landing page, Instant Delivery is now available in Johor Bahru, Kulai, Batu Pahat, and Kluang. As with before, the service starts from RM6 for the first 4KM and then an additional RM1 for every subsequent kilometre, with the maximum distance supported being 30KM, meaning that, depending on your distance from the seller, you could end up paying up to RM32 in delivery fees.
The delivery time for Instant Delivery is from 9 AM to 9 PM daily, but confusingly, orders made after 12PM will only be made the next working day despite its promise to deliver the item within two hours after the rider picking up your order. Only selected sellers will have the feature enabled.
The maximum weight for each parcel must not exceed 10KG and the maximum dimension is 30x30x30CM. Sellers are also not allowed to use the service to ship certain items such as things that are dangerous, illegal, or non-halal.
