OnePlus has officially unveiled its second smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 2, shortly after teasing the device’s design via its community forum yesterday. The brand also confirmed that the wearable will make its debut during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week on 26 February 2024, as previously suggested by reliable tipster Max Jambor.
The OnePlus Watch 2 is revealed to sport a new design, featuring a stainless steel flat surrounding frame with a protrusion on the right, which houses two buttons on top and at the bottom. Like its predecessor, the wearable also is equipped with a circular display, while colour options include Black Steel and Radiant Steel.
Even though no information regarding its specifications have been provided just yet, OnePlus claims that the Watch 2 is capable of lasting up to 100 hours on a single charge with “Smart Mode” enabled. The latter of which we suspect is likely the brand’s own moniker for battery saver mode, or a hybrid version of it.
Meanwhile, OnePlus president Kinder Liu expresses confidence in its upcoming wearable to win “the title of the Best Flagship Smartwatch of the year” thanks to its “market-beating battery life”. Additionally, the company promises that the Watch 2 is capable of providing “unparalleled reliability for everyday use and meticulous health monitoring.”

These are undoubtedly bold claims, though we’ll only know for certain if the company’s smartwatch is actually able to live up to such expectations once it debuts. While its global launch is confirmed, OnePlus has yet to confirm whether the Watch 2 will launch in Malaysia.
