vivo has unveiled a new smartphone in China called the Y100t. The phone is a variant of the previously released Y100 but with a more powerful processor and significantly faster charging, making it the highest-end device in the lineup, albeit with a downgraded screen.
The Y100t sports a 6.64-inch 1080p LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the chassis, the mid-range device runs on a MediaTek 8200 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, although the configurations might differ depending on the region. It is also unknown which version of Android the phone will ship with.
For imaging, the Y100t features a 64MP main snapper with OIS alongside a 2MP depth sensor, while the display houses a 16MP front camera. Powering the mobile phone is a standard-sized 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, significantly faster than the Y100’s 80W charging. On the connectivity side, it supports NFC and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
The price of the phone has not been revealed yet, but it will go on pre-sale on 23 February. It is unknown if the company plans on making the Y100t available in other markets, but there are speculations that the mid-ranger might launch as the Y100 GT in certain countries.
