Last week saw the leaking of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s renders onto the internet, showing a mostly familiar-looking device compared to its predecessor. Now, the company has showed off the phone in an official capacity, confirming that the leaked renders were accurate.
These official teasers come from both the Xiaomi official account on X, previously Twitter, as well as that of the company’s CEO Lei Jun. From posts on the two accounts, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be coming in two colour variants – black and white. Both sport a leather-esque texture at the back. Neither mentioned anything about the material of the frame though, so that rumour about aluminium and titanium frames remain up in the air for now.
The specs of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra were also not mentioned in the teasers, which is understandable. With that, all we have to work with are prior claims pointing to a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space. The device is powered by a 5,300mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, and the camera setup consists of four 50MP shooters. All this is supposedly packed in an IP68-rated body, which is a nice bonus.
At any rate, with the release date of 25 February under a week away, it won’t be too long a wait before these details are confirmed. With the launch happening in Barcelona though, it remains to be seen if local pricing and availability details will be made known simultaneously.
